Truscott Receives Coveted Spot As Stillwater Tribune Contributor

The Stillwater Tribune is proud to announce the addition of Christopher Truscott, political science professor, journalist and former newspaper editor, to its list of regular contributors.

Mr. Truscott has spent many years reporting on federal, state and local politics for the professional media in Minnesota. William Prendergast, editor of the Stillwater Tribune, has described Truscott as "the Minnesotan Larry Sabato."

Truscott's cross-postings to this blog will provide a much-needed air of gravitas to what is generally perceived as a sophomoric and juvenile publication. We deeply regret that we will not be paying him anything.

His first piece appears immediately below. It appears to be something about Governor Pawlenty's prospects for the Vice Presidency (Christ! McCain's a million years old!)

Mr. Truscott, however, always tells Bill that Larry Jacobs is Minnesota's Larry Sabato.
